Conviven piezas sencillas y austeras que se convierten en emocionalmente demoledoras junto a vídeos que nos deleitan intelectualmente.
En la muestra participan 15 artistas de diferentes nacionalidades latinoamericanas entre los que se encuentran Regina Galindo, Juan Manuel Echavarría y Jonathan Harper o Alexander Apóstol. Sus piezas pretenden destacar intereses creativos compartidos entre los diferentes países y utilizan un lenguaje audiovisual que potencia el uso de elementos y métodos de producción sencillos para lograr resultados efectivos.
En este sentido, el título de la muestra se deriva de un texto de W. J. T. Mictchell: “Lo que las imágenes quieren es no ser interpretadas, decodificadas, veneradas… Lo que en último término quieren las imágenes es ser preguntadas por lo que quieren, con el sobreentendido de que la respuesta muy bien pudiese ser absolutamente nada”.
